Maintaining healthy skin can be very difficult. In the winter months, skin dries out and can become painful and raw. Despite the difficulties, there are a few basic ways to keep skin looking refreshed and clear.

Oil-free lotions such as those from Clinique or Aveeno are better for skin that is naturally oily and more prone to acne. 2. Washing Your Face Twice a Day

When you wake up in the morning, it is important to wash your face. Use warm water and make sure every surface of your skin is wet. Washing your face at the end of the day is better than washing it in the morning. Be careful not to overwash your face; a third time can be good after sweating a lot or working somewhere especially dirty, but often, morning and night washes keep skin happy and healthy.

Learning more about healthy and balanced eating has been very popular recently. Different foods have different effects on your body, and that includes your skin! Eating healthy can lessen acne and other skin irritations, which leads to smoother, clearer skin.
